Day 9 of Ramadan Blogs: The Wisdom Behind Fasting

                          The Wisdom Behind Fasting

Assalam Alaikum my dear brothers and sisters today is the 9th day of Ramadan. We have almost completed 1/3 of Ramadan. Today I will like to discuss about the wisdom and benefits behind fasting. A lot of people don't know the benefits about fasting and how good it is for a persons body and soul. But, before I start to talk about the wisdom and benefits I will like to share a hadith with you guys: Abdullah Ibn Amr Ibn Al'As (RA) narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) said "The biggest sins are To join others in worship with Allah (S.W.T.), to be un-dutiful to one's parents, to kill someone unlawfully;and to take an oath" (Hadith). Now I will discuss the wisdom and benefits behind fasting.

The goal behind fasting is to keep the soul away from desires and to prevent it from those things which are beloved to it. It's purpose it to control the soul's strength, so it can prepare to attain what's found in the fast to success and joy for the soul. Throughout the fast, one holds his hunger and thirst and it is reminded of the condition of the hungriest among-st the needy people. Throughout fasting one narrows downs bad deeds that Shaytaan has lead the servant of Allah (S.W.T.). Also, it prevents the forces of the limbs from getting too accustomed to things that are harmful for us in this world and the hereafter. Each of the souls body limbs and energy can seize our rebelliousness to Allah (S.W.T.) and those who fear and obey Allah (S.W.T.) and the shield of those which war against desires. It is a garden for the righteous and devouted servant of Allah (S.W.T.). Fasting is for the Lord of the Worlds over all other actions done to please him. This is since the person who fasts, does nothing he only abandons his desires and food for the sake of those things that the soul loves and desires preferring Allah's (S.W.T.) and it is a secret kept between the servant and his Lord, and no one else is aware of it. Fasting has an beautiful effect and preserving one's outer limbs and inner capacities. As well as protecting the soul from being overtaken by destructive components. Fasting has a remarkable effect in causing all harmful things that returns the soul from being healthy to be emptied. So fasting guards and protects body limbs, and it returns the soul all that the from the greatest way to improve ones Taqwa (God's consciousness). As Allah (S.W.T.) says "O, you who believe fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, in order that you attain Taqwa (God's consciousness). So fasting is actually is to fear Allah so you can do good in life.

So guys this is the end of my blog. Thank you for reading. May Allah (S.W.T.) give us tawfeeq to understand and practice fasting. Stay tune for my daily Ramadan blogs. Assalam Alaikum my dear brothers and sisters. Peace and Stay Halal :D <3
